Picture this… film festival is a recipient of the AMI Events Award..

“The Ability Media International (AMI) Awards recognise and celebrate artistic excellence that promotes a more inclusive world. The awards are run by Leonard Cheshire Disability and supported by a creative board of leading arts and media professionals.”

Started in 2001, Picture this…film festival is both a competitive and exhibition festival.

The festival features films that are about disability and/or films on any subject that were produced, directed and/or written by people with disabilities.

Films are entered into one of five genres; animation, documentary, drama, education or performance. Films may also be in time sub-catagories e.g., drama 10 – 30 minutes.

Films may be of any length.

We want everyone to participate in this event and feel they have been entertained, learned something new or have a greater understanding of disability around the world.

Picture this…film festival operates beyond the annual event through Picture this…on the road series of mini-festivals and themed programmes.
