The fourth edition of Gran Fondo Baie Sainte-Marie, Nova Scotia’s first Gran Fondo cycling event, will be GRAN FONDO BAIE SAINTE-MARIEheld on Sunday, September 23, 2018. The event has quickly grown to become the largest cycling event in Atlantic Canada, with 917 cyclists participating in 2017. Our Gran Fondo will appeal to recreational riders looking for an epic ride, to those that like to tour by bike, and also to the avid racer. Although a timed event, this is more of a self-paced FUN group event, rather than a race.

Gran Fondo Baie Sainte-Marie is offering four rides in 2018. Experienced riders will be challenged by our 160 km Super Gran and 120 km Gran routes, while novice cyclists may prefer the shorter 67 km Medio or 35 km Piccolo rides. Riders will navigate rolling inland roads along lakes and rivers, and pass by towering wooden churches along the panoramic coastal route that hugs beautiful Baie Sainte Marie.
