THE HAPPENING IS THE PLACE TO BE IN OTTAWA...
We took the best parts of Hintonburg Happening over the last 4 years and created a fresh festival that still highlights what makes our hood unique. The HAPPENING celebrates local artists, designers, musicians and businesses on Wellington West from the Somerset Bridge to Island Park. All funds raised from the festival are returned to the community through arts grants. Plan to join us in the Spring for creative events at local businesses. Enjoy live music, interactive art, children's activities, as well as the beer and food gardens.

Taking place over 11 days in spring, the festival draws crowds of close to 35,000 to screenings, artist talks, panel discussions, installations and parties that highlight more than 200 films and videos from Canada and around the world.
All films are screened at the TIFF Bell Lightbox theatre, a five-screen cinema complex that also boasts three learning centres, two galleries, a three-story public atrium, bistro and lounge. Grab a meal, catch a flick and catch up with fellow film buffs all in the same s…
